We are all here to welcome and be of service to our clients, and send them out into the world rejuvenated, confident and feeling like a ‘star’.
Patrycja Bucka began training as a hair stylist in her hometown of Warsaw, Poland at age fifteen. Since then, she has worked at many prestigious salons in her native country and in her adopted city of New York, as well as at national and international fashion events. She has styled hair for runway shows, beauty pageants, magazine covers, photo shoots, and special occasions of all kinds. For the past fourteen years, she has owned and operated Center Stage salon in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She loves to cut and color hair and design special up-dos and classic looks for weddings.
Dilenia Almanzar (known to her friends and clients as “Dee”) was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New York City. From a young age, she knew she wanted to make people look and feel beautiful, so she attended the Robert France beauty school, followed by extensive training at Goldwell and Aveda. She has worked at various salons around the city ever since. Dee genuinely enjoys meeting new clients, bringing out their best features, and sending them off with huge smiles on their faces. When she isn’t at the salon, she loves to travel and experience other cultures and cuisines, and hang out with her beloved pets, a cat and a dog.
Marta K. is originally from Poland but attended cosmetology school in Manhattan. Her first job was at a small Manhattan salon but she soon moved to Brooklyn where she perfected her skills in coloring and cutting hair and creating stunning new looks. Now that she is back in Manhattan, she is thrilled to take on new challenges and work with her clients to give them fresh, beautiful hair styles that make them feel confident and powerful. Marta thinks of hair as her “artist’s canvas” and continues to attend classes and learn cutting-edge techniques so that each customer leaves her chair feeling special.
George Ruiz was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to New York City at fifteen where he developed a passion for volleyball so strong, that it took him all the way to the Olympic team. At eighteen, he discovered his other passion—hair—and, after studying at the LIBS beauty school and the Aveda Institute in St. Paul, Minnesota, he returned to New York and soon began working at Salon Above (Franky D’s other establishment). He’s been with Frank ever since, developing a loyal clientele that includes several A-list celebrities. George loves connecting with his clients on a personal level and employing his artistry to express their vision. He regularly attends Aveda and Goldwell seminars to keep up with the latest trends, and when he isn’t working, he enjoys cooking, painting, playing volleyball, and chasing after his Jack Russell, Tommy.
